Celebrating Diwali
To celebrate the Hindu festival 'Diwali' we created Rangoli Art using what we find in nature. The students collaborated together to create some awesome Diwali Art.
Kapa Haka and Te Reo
We started Te Reo lessons this week and we had a taster session of Kapa Haka. Our new Te Reo teacher is awesome and we all loved the singing.

Welcome back to Term 4, 2017
Week 1, Term 4
It was great to see everyone back after the holiday break refreshed and ready for another busy term! This week we started by watching "Where the Wild Things Are", as this is our project for this term. The children have chosen their areas from immersion that they wanted to focus and learn more about (Technology, Drama or Dance). From there we have been busy planning costume and prop designs as well as auditioning for character parts and beginning to choose the music that we want to dance to. We have been continuing our focus on fractions with the children during maths target workshops.
Some of our lovely families celebrated Diwali this week and the teachers were well looked after with some lovely Indian treats (thanks to Payal's mum). The girls looked gorgeous in their pretty dresses!
We also welcome our new school children who have started the school term in our big break out space, as part of the reception class.
